The time has come to finally begin my blog. I begged my friend and shop co-owner, Shannon, to set me up with a blog. I thought it would be fun to write about my projects and get advice and comments from others!

I must admit that my request was made months ago. Shannon was kind enough to get me started but I was so slow to get going. I guess I chickened out. I just didn’t know where to begin. I guess at the beginning!

I am co-owner of Stitch Cleveland, a stitchy workshop in Lakewood, Ohio. The shop was founded by me, my mom Heidi, and our friend Shannon. We all bring different talents to the shop. I teach fashion design, patternmaking, fashion illustration, and sewing to students of all ages and skill levels.

I really enjoy teaching and helping others. It has been a great learning process for me. Teaching keeps my skills sharp and my students inspire me daily. In this blog I will be sharing with you the projects I am working on and the people who inspire them!

I am looking forward to blogging. I am new to this so don’t expect me to be great!
